Extreme Body Art

Ron Athey is known for his extreme body art. His work explores challenging subjects like the relationships between desire, sexuality, and traumatic experience. We’re Back!

Today at 4pm New Wave is returning to Siren 107.3 FM! We’re back for another year of media-related fun, frolicking and more fun. On today’s show we’re taking a big look at the Frequency Digital Arts Festival in Lincoln, as well as talking to a new video producing company. We’ll also be talking once again to Redherring, who we spoke to last year about his musical performances. Since then, he’s been on BBC Lincolnshire and released an album! We’ll be finding out all about his experiences in a comprehensive interview, live, today after 4.

Dik’shon-a-ri Event

 

On this weeks New Wave show we speak to two second year art students from the University of Lincoln organising their very own unique  art exhibition: Dik’shon-a-ri. The event, called ‘dictionary’ (spelt phonetically) takes places Tuesday 3rd May, displaying a variety of exhibits created to interact with the public with the main theme of ‘Language’. Pop down and take a look…it’s on the high street! The exhibition takes place between 11 -4 outside the House of Fraser, where the girls (along with other art students) will be showcasing a wide range of different work.
